tarteaucitron.io is a consent management solution designed for both European and international websites. It allows visitors to express their choices and keeps the relevant services blocked until consent has been obtained.
The solution is integrated through a JavaScript tag and can be used with any type of website, including WordPress, WooCommerce, custom-built websites, web applications and platforms using Google Tag Manager.

The tarteaucitron consent engine is available free of charge as open-source software. It can be installed and configured manually without using the commercial version.
The Pro licence adds an online console that simplifies installation and ongoing configuration. It can detect services found on the website, centralise the settings and provide access to consent statistics.
The purpose of the Pro version is not to make the open-source edition unusable, but to reduce the time required to install, configure and maintain it.
A solution developed and maintained over time
I have been developing tarteaucitron for more than ten years. The project has received more than 1,300 contributions on GitHub and also benefits from feedback provided by its community.
The solution is currently used on more than 83,000 websites, and its infrastructure processes more than one billion requests every month. This large-scale use regularly exposes the product to different technical environments, traffic volumes and integration methods.

An important note about compliance
tarteaucitron.io provides the technical tools required to collect consent and control when services are loaded. Final compliance also depends on the services used, their configuration, the information provided to visitors and the overall practices of the website operator.
The solution therefore does not replace legal advice from a DPO or lawyer when such advice is required. For specific environments, a separate technical audit or integration service can also be provided.
